About Us:

Position Details:

• Role: Part-Time Expanded Duties Dental Assistant
• Hours: 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Thursday
• Pay: $15 to $18 per hour, based on experience

As our EDDA, your role involves a variety of tasks and is essential in creating a positive experience for our patients and supporting the dental team. 

• Welcoming Patients:

  • Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the dental office.
  • Create a friendly and welcoming environment to put patients at ease.

• Patient Preparation:

  • Prepare patients for treatments or checkups.
  • Ensure their comfort by addressing any concerns or questions they may have.

• Instrument and Equipment Setup:

  • Select and set up the necessary instruments, equipment, and materials needed for dental procedures.
  • Ensure everything is organized and ready for use.

• Chair-Side Assistance:

  • Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support.
  • Maintain a sterile field and follow infection control protocols.

• Coronal Polishing:

  • Perform coronal polishing procedures to remove stains and plaque from patients’ teeth.
  • Enhance their oral health and leave their smiles sparkling.

• Oral Hygiene Instructions:

  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
  • Provide personalized advice on brushing, flossing, and maintaining healthy gums.

• Post-Operative Care:

  • After treatments, give patients instructions for post-operative care.
  • Cover topics such as pain management, diet restrictions, and follow-up appointments.

Education:

• Must have a High-school Diploma or equivalent (such as a GED)

Certifications, Skills and Qualifications:

• X-Ray Certificate: Dental assistants should be certified to take dental X-rays. This ensures they can safely operate X-ray equipment and capture accurate images.
• Coronal Polishing: Proficiency in performing coronal polishing procedures is required. This involves removing stains and plaque from patients’ teeth.
• EDDA (Expanded Duties Dental Assistant): These assistants have additional training and can perform more advanced tasks, such as placing dental sealants or assisting with certain surgical procedures.
